For this project, I was tasked with creating a multi-part packaging system inspired by the classic story of Ysolde, a tale rooted in romance, devotion, and tragic beauty. I began by researching embroidered florals, developing a custom pattern that reflected the whimsy and emotional softness of the name and its backstory; this motif was carried throughout the set, reimagined across different elements through varied shapes and pattern applications. The typography pairs this delicacy with strength, using a high-contrast script inspired by blacklettering to elevate the brand’s sense of timeless luxury. Each component was carefully sourced to feature gold accents, rich textures, or unique forms, culminating in a custom-constructed trifold velvet box adorned with embroidered lace and a hidden message designed to heighten the unboxing experience and reinforce Ysolde’s romantic narrative.
